ao gối ôm (sausage pillow dress)
A sausage pillow / bolster is a type of cushion found in every Vietnamese bedroom: because of its long ellipsoid shape often mistaken for the modern waifu pillow, which shares the ellipsoid shape but prints two-dimensional fantasies of women onto its surface. Mimicking the shape of the baby reni patched sausage pillow into a fuss, I wanted to make clear this gesture of 'filling out' the body of the cushion. There aren't any imaginary leaps to take anymore, this is a woman in a dress. The ellipsoid shape then fully subjects itself to being subjugated, doing so, it questions the nature of women's clothing and who gets to own it.
